Typo Berlin

The annual meeting of the graphic design scene. With around 1,500 participants and more than 60 speakers lecturing on up to 3 stages, workshops and panels for 3 days, TYPO Berlin has become one of the world’s most important creative venues since it’s premiere in 1995.

London, UK

Typo London

TYPO London 2012: Social was the last event and provided a unique opportunity to investigate the myriad ways in which designers can function socially. And by ‘functioning socially’ we don’t just mean in the socio-political sense: thanks to huge changes in the nature of media, the act of designing is, more than ever, a social act, whether it is working for a global brand or designing a new eco-friendly typeface.

Brighton, UK

Brighton Letter Club

Remember the last time you received a hand written letter? When was the last time you wrote someone a letter? We love letters. We love receiving them and writing them – and we want to share the love. So come along to Letterclub. Have a drink. Write a letter. To your mum, to your dad to your grandma or your best friend – or maybe to your crush? Maybe make a new friend along the way. We’ll bring the paper, pens and envelopes (but we’d appreciate a small donation for the cost of stamps) and if you have some old postcards or old school stationary you’d like to bring – please do! We’re excited to meet you! Love, Letterclub

Chicago Calligraphy, Fountain Pen and Handwriting Club

Does it make you sad to hear cursive is being left to die? Do you wish people wrote more letters? Do you love using a good writing instrument? If you said yes to any of these questions, I’d love to meet you! I am interested in improving handwriting, ornamental penmanship (roundhands, Spencerian, etc.), calligraphy and other intriguing lettering. Let’s meet somewhere where we’ll have an excuse to practice our craft for a little bit, and then talk, geek out about the handwritten letter or offer kind criticism or advice to each other.
